As we approach the end of the 2025-26 school session our totals for Bronze, Silver & Gold Primary awards achieved across our Community are now:
It’s been a very rewarding year supporting so many schools to gather and share their evidence of the positive impacts they’re having in emotional learning and wellbeing. COGratulations to all staff, pupils and families who’ve achieved an award this year!
SUPPORT MEETINGS & TRAINING (sign up in each relevant section below)
- For school leads at the very beginning of their journey – our next Implementation Training dates are on 15th June or 24th August.
- Our last support meetings of the year are coming up on the following dates: Gold Mon 1st June / Bronze Wed 3rd June / Silver Tues 9th June

START YOUR JOURNEY
Any Primary School with an Emotion Works membership can sign up to our School Award Programme.
All we require is the name and contact information for a Primary Award ‘Lead’ or ideally 2 who will be responsible for co-ordinating the tasks involved at each stage of the award journey, gathering the evidence required and submitting your applications.

Primary Award Leads
Some examples of staff who might take on the role of being an Emotion Works Award Lead include…
- A member of SLT with HWB / Emotional Wellbeing remit
- Class teachers with a particular interest in emotional literacy and wellbeing CPD
- A working group member for Emotion Works in your school
Training for Award Leads
If your school is new to Emotion Works or you are new to being a lead, we strongly encourage you sign up for one of our monthly Implementation Training Sessions which will provide everything you need to know about getting started with the Award process and how it links up with your Primary school roll out and delivery through Bronze & Silver levels. Monthly half hour twilight sessions for class teachers on the classroom delivery aspects of the Silver Award.
The Online Application Process
Once you’ve been awarded your Bronze Award, your online form for your Silver application will become visible to Primary Award Leads.
You can open and browse the Silver online form, and complete it in stages if you wish – just remember to save your evidence as you go. Anyone who has Primary Award Lead account privileges can work on your application at the same time.
Once you have all your evidence uploaded you can submit your application for your Silver Award on behalf of your school, and in agreement with your other identified Primary Award lead/s.

The Online Application Process
Once you’ve been awarded your Silver Award, your online form for your Gold application will become visible to Primary Award Leads.
You can open and browse the Gold online form. When you’re ready to begin, please note you’ll need to save each page as you go so you don’t lose your work. Anyone who has Primary Award Lead account privileges can work on your application at the same time.
Once you have all your evidence uploaded you can submit your application for your Gold Award on behalf of your school, and in agreement with your other identified Primary Award lead/s.
Platinum AWARD
We’re currently working with our 12 Gold Awarded schools to help shape the development of this final stage of the School Award journey.
Some features of the Platinum Award will include
- Delivering EW as a spiral curriculum
- Wider curriculum links
- Ongoing collegiate planning and using Emotion Works beyond the Classroom
- Staff, Pupil & Parent impact reporting
- An EW Community Contribution
