Dear Colleagues,
As you may know, Angus Council won a prize from Emotion Works for the highest number of entries in the 2024 COGmas competition. This prize entitles Angus Schools to a complimentary session with Claire Murray, Director and Founder of Emotion Works.
As a result we are planning an introductory training session at Hayshead Primary School on the morning of the May Inservice (Monday, 26th May). This session will provide an overview of the Emotion Works Primary programme and is a great opportunity for schools, like us, who have purchased Emotion Works membership and resources and are now ready to get started rolling out the programme, or for members of staff from more established schools who are new to Emotion Works and would like to attend Introductory Training.
In addition to the training session, there will be an Information session and Mini-training for representatives from Primary, ELC, ASN & Secondary who would like to find out more about the Emotion Works programme. For example, how the programme might fit in with your learning and wellbeing curriculum and priorities, with a view to purchasing for your school, setting or service.
Claire is also in touch with schools who have been using Emotion Works for some time to organise a practice sharing and award celebration event on a different day.
If you are interested in attending the introductory training session for Primary member schools on the morning of 26th May or the afternoon information session, you can sign up below to your choice of session, depending on whether you are already a member
We look forward to a successful and informative day.
Best wishes,
Scott Haxton

ONLINE Emotion Works Practice Sharing &. Award Celebration event, date tbc
Event 3
Following consultation with some of our Member Schools and ELCs in Angus who are working through the Emotion Works Awards programme, we’ve agreed that an online practice sharing event running as a twilight session would be best to allow for as much participation as possible.
Any schools, ELCs or teachers/ practitioners wishing to take part are very welcome, whether to share your own Emotion Works practice or just listen in.
