ABOUT OUR IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING & SUPPORT

Our new approach to supporting Primary School Implementation is now up and running with introductory session dates scheduled throughout 2024.

Who is it for? This training and support process is for people who will be leading and co-ordinating how you’ll implement Emotion Works across your school, and also for any teachers who would like to access additional CPD to be able to take on a cascading and mentoring role with new members of staff.

Existing Member Schools who are still not fully up and running with the programme or who are interested beginning their School Award journey are very welcome to join in. 

FEEDBACK FROM OUR FIRST SESSION

I attended the Emotion Works implementation training on the 8th February and found this extremely useful. Claire and Katrina provided step by step guidance in terms of embedding Emotion Works in our school and demonstrated also how to guide and support staff through the process. I really liked the Teaching Competencies Questionnaire as this will allow us to complete a mini audit with staff in terms of how confident they feel in the delivery of Emotion Works and will provide our next steps in terms of achieving our Bronze and Silver Award.

Here's how we'll work in partnership with you on your Staff Development and Pupil Learning & Wellbeing goals:

  • You’ll join us at an initial live online training session with other School Leads and interested teachers at a similar stage of their Emotion Works school journey
  • We’ll provide ongoing support as you work through the co-ordination of your team set up, resources preparation, staff training and first full roll-out, up to Silver School Award Level
  • We’ll facilitate connections between schools at similar stages within a Cohort approach
  • We’ll help you identify and meet staff development needs to ensure all teachers feel confident and equipped to deliver Emotion Works and the Cog Curriculum
  • We’ll provide tools and suggestions to help you track staff and pupil progress and support you to share your impact in meaningful and motivating ways

Please feel free to take a look ahead of the training to see how easy it will be for your school to achieve a Bronze Award by simply following the first 8 steps of your Emotion Works whole school roll-out.

Implementation training is free for School Leads and potential Mentor Teachers from all Member Schools. Whether you’ve only just signed up to Emotion Works or you’ve been members for a while, if you’d like some help planning and co-ordinating a whole school roll-out and applying for a Bronze and Silver School Award then this training is for you. Simply sign up below with a little information about your school’s starting point for using Emotion Works, and what role you’ll be playing in the co-ordination.
