This popular & specialist training day is running again on Friday 1st May, 10-4pm for staff who work in specialist schools or ASL services with learners who have severe and complex learning needs. We’re delighted to be partnering with East Park School who are very kindly hosting & delivering this training day along with a tour of their learning environment to showcase Emotion Works practice at the earliest levels.
Thanks to our ‘Community Interest Company’ fund, we are able to offer 2 free training places at this training to staff from your school/service so long as you have already bought into Emotion Works or are planning on doing so. Based on the information you give us about your learners we will be happy to advise on a bespoke support package featuring relevant resources for pupils with severe and complex needs. Resources for non-verbal learners include profiling, planning and staff reflection tools. Symbol resources are also available for those working with learners who are able to understand and use first words, signs and symbols.
The day will be delivered and facilitated by Ailie Davie, Class Teacher at East Park School and accredited Emotion Works Practitioner (ASN). Attendees will have an opportunity to share their own experiences of working children and young people who have significant learning needs and to reflect on the particular challenges and joys this brings. A realistic problem solving approach will be encouraged, alongside some inspiring case examples from others already using Emotion Works at the very earliest level.
To reserve your place, please email [email protected], or ‘check out’ by entering attendee information below.
