Open Training: 2-part Twilight at the South Lanarkshire Classroom – Tuesday 26th Nov & TBD, 3:45- 6:15pm
At the Kirkton Primary School, Kirkton Ave, Carluke, ML8 5AB
This 2-part twilight (3:45-6:15pm) training will be delivered by Claire Murray, Emotion Works creator and founder, along with Gillian Black PT and Emotion Works champion at Kirkton Primary School.
Twilight 1 will provide an overview of the Emotion Works programme, a talk-through of the hard copy resources and a demonstration of the practitioner support area of our website (including how to access digital files, online resources and practice examples). Gillian will provide and input of Emotion Works roll-out to date, and a classroom tour will be included. A selection of starter ideas will then be identified for you to try out before session 2.
Twilight 2 will focus on Primary school roll out including ideas and examples for using the approach across all stages, supporting learners with additional support needs, being nurture/trauma-informed, and also using Emotion Works outdoors. We will also use the session to share how trainees have made a start using Emotion Works in their own schools.
Following attendance at both twilights, trainees will be in a position to cascade Emotion Works in their own school.
To register for this training it is important that you have access to Emotion Works resources and a current website membership. Our resource & website packages are available for individual practitioners as well as schools. Details about our individual and group packages can be found here.
The training fee is £50 per person.
*Primary Schools who are interested in using a cascader model should have already purchased, or will need to purchase a school package at the time of booking. For best cascading practice we advise you book training spaces for at least two staff so that your school cascade can be planned and delivered most effectively as a team effort.
