Emotion Works Introductory Training: Full Day at the Edinburgh Classroom – Tues 28th April 2020
At the Emotion Works Classroom, 24D Milton Road East, Edinburgh, EH15 2NJ
This full day training (10am – 4pm) will be delivered by Michelle Appleby, Emotion Works Trainer and Lead on Practitioner Support .
The morning session will provide an overview of the Emotion Works programme, a talk-through of the hard copy resources and a demonstration of the practitioner support area of our website (including how to access digital files, online resources and practice examples).
The afternoon will include sharing ideas and examples for using the approach across all stages, supporting learners with additional support needs, being nurture/trauma-informed, and also using Emotion Works outdoors. There will also be inputs from teachers and practitioners already using Emotion Works in their schools and services.
Following attendance at this training day, primary school trainees will be in a position to cascade Emotion Works in their own school*.
To register for this training it is important that you have access to Emotion Works resources and a current website membership. Our resource & website packages are available for individual practitioners as well as schools. Details about our individual and group packages can be found here.
The training fee is £50 per person.
*Primary Schools who are interested in using a cascader model should have already purchased, or will need to purchase a school package at the time of booking. For best cascading practice we advise you book training spaces for at least two staff so that your school cascade can be planned and delivered most effectively as a team effort.
